The memory of the just serves as blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.

I lie awake and moan, like a lone sparrow on the roof.

Friends and companions shun my disease; my neighbors stand far off.

Yet he perishes forever like the dung he uses for fuel, and onlookers say, “Where is he?”

His memory perishes from the earth, and he has no name in the countryside.

Have mercy on me, God, in accord with your merciful love; in your abundant compassion blot out my transgressions.

Against you, you alone have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your eyes So that you are just in your word, and without reproach in your judgment.

Have mercy on me, God, for I am treated harshly; attackers press me all the day.

Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me. In you I seek refuge. In the shadow of your wings I seek refuge till harm pass by.

May God be gracious to us and bless us; may his face shine upon us. Selah

be gracious to me, Lord; to you I call all the day.

Turn to me, be gracious to me; give your strength to your servant; save the son of your handmaid.
