Those who guard mouth and tongue guard themselves from trouble.

Set a guard, Lord, before my mouth, keep watch over the door of my lips.

If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, his religion is vain.

How can the young keep his way without fault? Only by observing your words.

Who is the man who delights in life, who loves to see the good days?

Therefore, we must attend all the more to what we have heard, so that we may not be carried away.
