Uzziah, who was holding a censer for burning the incense, became angry. But at the very moment he showed his anger to the priests, while they were looking at him in the house of the Lord beside the altar of incense, leprosy broke out on his forehead.

For the arrows of the Almighty are in me, and my spirit drinks in their poison; the terrors of God are arrayed against me.

Do not hide your face from me in the day of my distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly.

My heart is withered, dried up like grass, too wasted to eat my food.

For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength withered as in dry summer heat. Selah

Behold, you desire true sincerity; and secretly you teach me wisdom.

Do not reprove me in your anger, Lord, nor punish me in your wrath.
