while David and all Israel danced before God with all their might, with singing, and with lyres, harps, tambourines, cymbals, and trumpets.

Chenaniah was the chief of the Levites in the singing; he directed the singing, for he was skillful.

Their number, together with that of their kinsmen who were trained in singing to the Lord, all of them skilled men, was two hundred and eighty-eight.

And puts a new song in my mouth, a hymn to our God. Many shall look on in fear and they shall trust in the Lord.

Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.

A psalm. Sing a new song to the Lord, for he has done marvelous deeds. His right hand and holy arm have won the victory.

Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth: Let the sea and what fills it resound, the coastlands, and those who dwell in them.

addressing one another [in] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and playing to the Lord in your hearts,

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

They were singing [what seemed to be] a new hymn before the throne, before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn this hymn except the hundred and forty-four thousand who had been ransomed from the earth.

They sang a new hymn: “Worthy are you to receive the scroll and to break open its seals, for you were slain and with your blood you purchased for God those from every tribe and tongue, people and nation.
