my God, in you I trust; do not let me be disgraced; do not let my enemies gloat over me.

For the scripture says, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.”

“But you, Lord, take note of me to raise me up that I may repay them.”

In you, Lord, I take refuge; let me never be put to shame.

and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the holy Spirit that has been given to us.

In you our fathers trusted; they trusted and you rescued them.

I cry out to you, Lord, I say, You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.
