For you drew me forth from the womb, made me safe at my mother’s breasts.
Hear me, coastlands, listen, distant peoples. Before birth the Lord called me, from my mother’s womb he gave me my name.
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you.
The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favor of God was upon him. The Boy Jesus in the Temple.
