He found them in a wilderness, a wasteland of howling desert. He shielded them, cared for them, guarded them as the apple of his eye.

He will shelter you with his pinions, and under his wings you may take refuge; his faithfulness is a protecting shield.

You who dwell in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shade of the Almighty,

Keep my commands and live, and my teaching as the apple of your eye;

Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me. In you I seek refuge. In the shadow of your wings I seek refuge till harm pass by.

Let me dwell in your tent forever, take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah
