I call upon you; answer me, O God. Turn your ear to me; hear my speech.

Who turned an ear to me on the day I called.

Know that the Lord works wonders for his faithful one; the Lord hears when I call out to him.

Let death take them; let them go down alive to Sheol, for evil is in their homes and bellies.

On the day of my distress I call to you, for you will answer me.

Lord, the God of my salvation, I call out by day; at night I cry aloud in your presence.

Incline your ear, Lord, and listen! open your eyes, Lord, and see! Hear all the words Sennacherib has sent to taunt the living God.

Therefore, Lord, our God, save us from this man’s power, That all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone, Lord, are God.”
