It is better to listen to the rebuke of the wise than to listen to the song of fools;

Those whom I love, I reprove and chastise. Be earnest, therefore, and repent.

Do good, Lord, to the good, to those who are upright of heart.

For you do not desire sacrifice or I would give it; a burnt offering you would not accept.

You set a table before me in front of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you,

Plans fail when there is no counsel, but they succeed when advisers are many.

You shall not hate any of your kindred in your heart. Reprove your neighbor openly so that you do not incur sin because of that person.

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates reproof is stupid.
