You formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother’s womb.
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you.
Your hands made me and fashioned me; give me understanding to learn your commandments.
Thus says the Lord who made you, your help, who formed you from the womb: Do not fear, Jacob, my servant, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
Did not he who made me in the belly make him? Did not the same One fashion us in the womb?
Hear me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, My burden from the womb, whom I have carried since birth.
On you I have depended since birth; from my mother’s womb you are my strength; my hope in you never wavers.
Enter, let us bow down in worship; let us kneel before the Lord who made us.
If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were hearing, where would the sense of smell be?
