For the leader. A psalm of David.
You are my God, I give you thanks; my God, I offer you praise.
Of David. To you, Lord, I call; my Rock, do not be deaf to me, Do not be silent toward me, so that I join those who go down to the pit.
A song; a psalm of Asaph.
God, do not be silent; God, do not be deaf or remain unmoved!
My strength and my refuge is the Lord, and he has become my savior. This is my God, I praise him; the God of my father, I extol him.
For a long time I have kept silent, I have said nothing, holding myself back; Now I cry out like a woman in labor, gasping and panting.
Heal me, Lord, that I may be healed; save me, that I may be saved, for you are my praise.
He is your praise; he is your God, who has done for you those great and awesome things that your own eyes have seen.
