May the devious heart keep far from me; the wicked I will not acknowledge.

Depart from me, you wicked, that I may keep the commandments of my God.

I do not sit with worthless men, nor with hypocrites do I mingle.

I hate an evil assembly; with the wicked I do not sit.

My eyes are dimmed with sorrow, worn out because of all my foes.

The crooked in heart are an abomination to the Lord, but those who walk blamelessly are his delight.

Do not be friendly with hotheads, nor associate with the wrathful,

An abomination to the just, the evildoer; an abomination to the wicked, one whose way is straight.

To the Lord the devious are an abomination, but the upright are close to him.

[The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil;] Pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth I hate.

Forsake foolishness that you may live; advance in the way of understanding.”

Then I will declare to them solemnly, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you evildoers.’ The Two Foundations.

but I was lowered in a basket through a window in the wall and escaped his hands.

Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands, bearing this inscription, “The Lord knows those who are his”; and, “Let everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord avoid evil.”
