Those slack in their work are kin to the destroyer.

The sluggard buries a hand in the dish; not even lifting it to the mouth.

Do not love sleep lest you be reduced to poverty; keep your eyes open, have your fill of food.

The sluggard says, “A lion is outside; I might be slain in the street.”

For drunkards and gluttons come to poverty, and lazing about clothes one in rags.
