Brothers, stop being childish in your thinking. In respect to evil be like infants, but in your thinking be mature.

Now as you excel in every respect, in faith, discourse, knowledge, all earnestness, and in the love we have for you, may you excel in this gracious act also.

Therefore, do not continue in ignorance, but try to understand what is the will of the Lord.

Therefore, from the day we heard this, we do not cease praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding

and have put on the new self, which is being renewed, for knowledge, in the image of its creator.

and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we have for you,

Finally, brothers, we earnestly ask and exhort you in the Lord Jesus that, as you received from us how you should conduct yourselves to please God—and as you are conducting yourselves—you do so even more.

We ought to thank God always for you, brothers, as is fitting, because your faith flourishes ever more, and the love of every one of you for one another grows ever greater.

so that your partnership in the faith may become effective in recognizing every good there is in us that leads to Christ. Plea for Onesimus.

But solid food is for the mature, for those whose faculties are trained by practice to discern good and evil.

Since you have purified yourselves by obedience to the truth for sincere mutual love, love one another intensely from a [pure] heart.

But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory now and to the day of eternity. [Amen.]
