The Lord said to Moses:
All the firstborn males, registered by name, of a month or more, numbered twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.
Take the Levites in place of all the firstborn of the Israelites, and the Levites’ cattle in place of their cattle, that the Levites may belong to me. I am the Lord.
