Suddenly a violent storm came up on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by waves; but he was asleep.
O afflicted one, storm-battered and unconsoled, I lay your pavements in carnelians, your foundations in sapphires;
at the sight of you the mountains writhed. The clouds poured down water; the deep roared loudly. The sun forgot to rise,
He got into a boat and his disciples followed him.
They came and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
and while they were sailing he fell asleep. A squall blew over the lake, and they were taking in water and were in danger.
And I am glad for you that I was not there, that you may believe. Let us go to him.”
