“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’

You shall not commit adultery.

You shall not commit adultery.

But those who commit adultery have no sense; those who do it destroy themselves.

If a man commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death.

“You have heard that it was said to your ancestors, ‘You shall not kill; and whoever kills will be liable to judgment.’

You shall not have sexual relations with your neighbor’s wife, defiling yourself with her.

“Again you have heard that it was said to your ancestors, ‘Do not take a false oath, but make good to the Lord all that you vow.’

“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
