But I say to you, whoever is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment, and whoever says to his brother, ‘Raqa,’ will be answerable to the Sanhedrin, and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ will be liable to fiery Gehenna.

When his brothers saw that their father loved him best of all his brothers, they hated him so much that they could not say a kind word to him.

You serpents, you brood of vipers, how can you flee from the judgment of Gehenna?

Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

The chief priests and the entire Sanhedrin kept trying to obtain false testimony against Jesus in order to put him to death,

And a voice came from the heavens, saying, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

But I say to you, do not swear at all; not by heaven, for it is God’s throne;

But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you,

The chief priests and the entire Sanhedrin kept trying to obtain testimony against Jesus in order to put him to death, but they found none.

As soon as morning came, the chief priests with the elders and the scribes, that is, the whole Sanhedrin, held a council. They bound Jesus, led him away, and handed him over to Pilate.

I shall show you whom to fear. Be afraid of the one who after killing has the power to cast into Gehenna; yes, I tell you, be afraid of that one.

When day came the council of elders of the people met, both chief priests and scribes, and they brought him before their Sanhedrin.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and said, “What are we going to do? This man is performing many signs.

But in order that the word written in their law might be fulfilled, ‘They hated me without cause.’

The crowd answered, “You are possessed! Who is trying to kill you?”

The Jews answered and said to him, “Are we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan and are possessed?”

Even some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers engaged him in discussion. Some asked, “What is this scavenger trying to say?” Others said, “He sounds like a promoter of foreign deities,” because he was preaching about ‘Jesus’ and ‘Resurrection.’

The next day, wishing to determine the truth about why he was being accused by the Jews, he freed him and ordered the chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin to convene. Then he brought Paul down and made him stand before them.

Paul looked intently at the Sanhedrin and said, “My brothers, I have conducted myself with a perfectly clear conscience before God to this day.”

or let these men themselves state what crime they discovered when I stood before the Sanhedrin,

So they ordered them to leave the Sanhedrin, and conferred with one another, saying,

When they heard this, they went to the temple early in the morning and taught. When the high priest and his companions arrived, they convened the Sanhedrin, the full senate of the Israelites, and sent to the jail to have them brought in.

When they had brought them in and made them stand before the Sanhedrin, the high priest questioned them,

They stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes, accosted him, seized him, and brought him before the Sanhedrin.

All those who sat in the Sanhedrin looked intently at him and saw that his face was like the face of an angel.

It was this Moses who said to the Israelites, ‘God will raise up for you, from among your own kinsfolk, a prophet like me.’

love one another with mutual affection; anticipate one another in showing honor.

nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.

But rather brother goes to court against brother, and that before unbelievers?

The land will never lack for needy persons; that is why I command you: “Open your hand freely to your poor and to your needy kin in your land.” Hebrew Slaves.

In all the communities which the Lord, your God, is giving you, you shall appoint judges and officials throughout your tribes to administer true justice for the people.

not to take advantage of or exploit a brother in this matter, for the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you before and solemnly affirmed.

They are to slander no one, to be peaceable, considerate, exercising all graciousness toward everyone.

See that you do not reject the one who speaks. For if they did not escape when they refused the one who warned them on earth, how much more in our case if we turn away from the one who warns from heaven.

and when he was made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him,

Do you want proof, you ignoramus, that faith without works is useless?

The tongue is also a fire. It exists among our members as a world of malice, defiling the whole body and setting the entire course of our lives on fire, itself set on fire by Gehenna.

When he was insulted, he returned no insult; when he suffered, he did not threaten; instead, he handed himself over to the one who judges justly.

Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult; but, on the contrary, a blessing, because to this you were called, that you might inherit a blessing.

Whoever says he is in the light, yet hates his brother, is still in the darkness.

If anyone sees his brother sinning, if the sin is not deadly, he should pray to God and he will give him life. This is only for those whose sin is not deadly. There is such a thing as deadly sin, about which I do not say that you should pray.

Yet the archangel Michael, when he argued with the devil in a dispute over the body of Moses, did not venture to pronounce a reviling judgment upon him but said, “May the Lord rebuke you!”

Then Death and Hades were thrown into the pool of fire. (This pool of fire is the second death.)
