He answered, “Lazy! You are lazy! That is why you keep saying, ‘Let us go and offer sacrifice to the Lord.’

You say, “See what a burden this is!” and you exasperate me, says the Lord of hosts; You bring in what is mutilated, or lame, or sick; you bring it as an offering! Will I accept it from your hands? says the Lord.

When the ten heard this, they became indignant at the two brothers.

a woman came up to him with an alabaster jar of costly perfumed oil, and poured it on his head while he was reclining at table.

It could have been sold for much, and the money given to the poor.”

There were some who were indignant. “Why has there been this waste of perfumed oil?
