Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. One of the maids came over to him and said, “You too were with Jesus the Galilean.”

When he heard this, Elijah hid his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. A voice said to him, Why are you here, Elijah?

There he came to a cave, where he took shelter. But the word of the Lord came to him: Why are you here, Elijah?

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in company with scoffers.

And the crowds replied, “This is Jesus the prophet, from Nazareth in Galilee.” The Cleansing of the Temple.

Peter was following him at a distance as far as the high priest’s courtyard, and going inside he sat down with the servants to see the outcome.

But he denied it in front of everyone, saying, “I do not know what you are talking about!”

As he went out to the gate, another girl saw him and said to those who were there, “This man was with Jesus the Nazorean.”

But Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”

Others said, “This is the Messiah.” But others said, “The Messiah will not come from Galilee, will he?

They answered and said to him, “You are not from Galilee also, are you? Look and see that no prophet arises from Galilee.”

After him came Judas the Galilean at the time of the census. He also drew people after him, but he too perished and all who were loyal to him were scattered.
