He went and dwelt in a town called Nazareth, so that what had been spoken through the prophets might be fulfilled, “He shall be called a Nazorean.”

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:

And the crowds replied, “This is Jesus the prophet, from Nazareth in Galilee.” The Cleansing of the Temple.

As he went out to the gate, another girl saw him and said to those who were there, “This man was with Jesus the Nazorean.”

he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!”

It happened in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized in the Jordan by John.

In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth,

They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”

When they had fulfilled all the prescriptions of the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth.

They answered him, “Jesus the Nazorean.” He said to them, “I AM.” Judas his betrayer was also with them.

So he again asked them, “Whom are you looking for?” They said, “Jesus the Nazorean.”

Pilate also had an inscription written and put on the cross. It read, “Jesus the Nazorean, the King of the Jews.”

You who are Israelites, hear these words. Jesus the Nazorean was a man commended to you by God with mighty deeds, wonders, and signs, which God worked through him in your midst, as you yourselves know.

We found this man to be a pest; he creates dissension among Jews all over the world and is a ringleader of the sect of the Nazoreans.

for you will conceive and bear a son. No razor shall touch his head, for the boy is to be a nazirite for God from the womb. It is he who will begin to save Israel from the power of the Philistines.

and made this vow: “O Lord of hosts, if you look with pity on the hardship of your servant, if you remember me and do not forget me, if you give your handmaid a male child, I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life. No razor shall ever touch his head.”
