Matthew 16:27

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive recompense, according to what he did in the body, whether good or evil. The Ministry of Reconciliation.

One thing God has said; two things I have heard: Strength belongs to God;

who will repay everyone according to his works:

So [then] each of us shall give an account of himself [to God]. Consideration for the Weak Conscience.

I, the Lord, explore the mind and test the heart, Giving to all according to their ways, according to the fruit of their deeds.

knowing that each will be requited from the Lord for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.

Enoch, of the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied also about them when he said, “Behold, the Lord has come with his countless holy ones

because you said, “We didn’t know about it”? Surely, the Searcher of hearts knows and will repay all according to their deeds.

I saw the dead, the great and the lowly, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. Then another scroll was opened, the book of life. The dead were judged according to their deeds, by what was written in the scrolls.

I will also put her children to death. Thus shall all the churches come to know that I am the searcher of hearts and minds and that I will give each of you what your works deserve.

Rather, he requites mortals for their conduct, and brings home to them their way of life.

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious throne,

great in counsel, mighty in deed, whose eyes are fixed on all the ways of mortals, giving to all according to their ways, according to the fruit of their deeds:

And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Then Jesus answered, “I am; and ‘you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power and coming with the clouds of heaven.’”

Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this faithless and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

You will flee by the valley between the mountains, for the valley between the mountains will reach to Azal. Thus you will flee as you fled because of the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord, my God, will come, and all his holy ones with him. Jerusalem Restored.

The king mourns, the prince is terror-stricken, the hands of the common people tremble. I will deal with them according to their ways, and according to their judgments I will judge them. They shall know that I am the Lord.

Behold, he is coming amid the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him. All the peoples of the earth will lament him. Yes. Amen.

They said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking at the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.”

Jesus said to him in reply, “You have said so. But I tell you: From now on you will see ‘the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power’ and ‘coming on the clouds of heaven.’”

Now if you invoke as Father him who judges impartially according to each one’s works, conduct yourselves with reverence during the time of your sojourning,

But from this time on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”

Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

Thus it will be at the end of the age. The angels will go out and separate the wicked from the righteous

A river of fire surged forth, flowing from where he sat; Thousands upon thousands were ministering to him, and myriads upon myriads stood before him. The court was convened, and the books were opened.

and to await his Son from heaven, whom he raised from [the] dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the coming wrath.

For the Lord himself, with a word of command, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God, will come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his kingdom all who cause others to sin and all evildoers.

Now food will not bring us closer to God. We are no worse off if we do not eat, nor are we better off if we do.

Jesus answered him, “Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to rest his head.”

I said in my heart, both the just and the wicked God will judge, since a time is set for every affair and for every work.

Only the one who sins shall die. The son shall not be charged with the guilt of his father, nor shall the father be charged with the guilt of his son. Justice belongs to the just, and wickedness to the wicked.

Jesus said to him, “What if I want him to remain until I come? What concern is it of yours? You follow me.”

So the word spread among the brothers that that disciple would not die. But Jesus had not told him that he would not die, just “What if I want him to remain until I come? [What concern is it of yours?]” Conclusion.

the work of each will come to light, for the Day will disclose it. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire [itself] will test the quality of each one’s work.

but each one in proper order: Christ the firstfruits; then, at his coming, those who belong to Christ;

For the wrongdoer will receive recompense for the wrong he committed, and there is no partiality.

Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains.

And now, children, remain in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not be put to shame by him at his coming.
