The crowds were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the deformed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind able to see, and they glorified the God of Israel. The Feeding of the Four Thousand.

and they beheld the God of Israel. Under his feet there appeared to be sapphire tilework, as clear as the sky itself.

Great crowds came to him, having with them the lame, the blind, the deformed, the mute, and many others. They placed them at his feet, and he cured them.

If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into eternal fire.

The blind and the lame approached him in the temple area, and he cured them.

As they were going out, a demoniac who could not speak was brought to him,

and when the demon was driven out the mute person spoke. The crowds were amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.”

When the crowds saw this they were struck with awe and glorified God who had given such authority to human beings. The Call of Matthew.

He rose, picked up his mat at once, and went away in the sight of everyone. They were all astounded and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this.” The Call of Levi.

They were exceedingly astonished and they said, “He has done all things well. He makes the deaf hear and [the] mute speak.”

The servant went and reported this to his master. Then the master of the house in a rage commanded his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in here the poor and the crippled, the blind and the lame.’

He immediately received his sight and followed him, giving glory to God. When they saw this, all the people gave praise to God.

Fear seized them all, and they glorified God, exclaiming, “A great prophet has arisen in our midst,” and “God has visited his people.”

So a second time they called the man who had been blind and said to him, “Give God the praise! We know that this man is a sinner.”
