It is not what enters one’s mouth that defiles that person; but what comes out of the mouth is what defiles one.”
He said in reply, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.
But that we may not offend them, go to the sea, drop in a hook, and take the first fish that comes up. Open its mouth and you will find a coin worth twice the temple tax. Give that to them for me and for you.”
We cause no one to stumble in anything, in order that no fault may be found with our ministry;
to them we did not submit even for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might remain intact for you.
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without inconstancy or insincerity.
