When King Jehoiakim and all his officers and princes heard his words, the king sought to have him killed. But Uriah heard of it and fled in fear to Egypt.

Then why did you go out? To see a prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.

After threatening them further, they released them, finding no way to punish them, on account of the people who were all praising God for what had happened.

Then the captain and the court officers went and brought them in, but without force, because they were afraid of being stoned by the people.
