The words of the wicked are a deadly ambush, but the speech of the upright saves them.

One has joy from an apt response; a word in season, how good it is!

The heart of the just ponders a response, but the mouth of the wicked spews evil.

A soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse one breaks the spirit.

You brood of vipers, how can you say good things when you are evil? For from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.

And he replied, “Then every scribe who has been instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like the head of a household who brings from his storeroom both the new and the old.”

Just so, every good tree bears good fruit, and a rotten tree bears bad fruit.

A good person out of the store of goodness in his heart produces good, but an evil person out of a store of evil produces evil; for from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks. The Two Foundations.

No foul language should come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for needed edification, that it may impart grace to those who hear.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you know how you should respond to each one. Tychicus and Onesimus.
