Matthew 12:10

And behold, there was a man there who had a withered hand. They questioned him, “Is it lawful to cure on the sabbath?” so that they might accuse him.

Transgressing, and denying the Lord, turning back from following our God, Planning fraud and treachery, uttering lying words conceived in the heart.

No one brings suit justly, no one pleads truthfully; They trust an empty plea and tell lies; they conceive mischief and bring forth malice.

Ah! my worthless shepherd who forsakes the flock! May the sword fall upon his arm and upon his right eye; His arm will surely wither, and his right eye surely go blind!

When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him, “See, your disciples are doing what is unlawful to do on the sabbath.”

Some Pharisees approached him, and tested him, saying, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause whatever?”

They watched him closely to see if he would cure him on the sabbath so that they might accuse him.

for they were plotting to catch him at something he might say.

But the leader of the synagogue, indignant that Jesus had cured on the sabbath, said to the crowd in reply, “There are six days when work should be done. Come on those days to be cured, not on the sabbath day.”

Is it lawful for us to pay tribute to Caesar or not?”

and said to them, “You brought this man to me and accused him of inciting the people to revolt. I have conducted my investigation in your presence and have not found this man guilty of the charges you have brought against him,

They brought charges against him, saying, “We found this man misleading our people; he opposes the payment of taxes to Caesar and maintains that he is the Messiah, a king.”

So the Jews said to the man who was cured, “It is the sabbath, and it is not lawful for you to carry your mat.”

In these lay a large number of ill, blind, lame, and crippled. [

If a man can receive circumcision on a sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because I made a whole person well on a sabbath?

They said this to test him, so that they could have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with his finger.

So some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, because he does not keep the sabbath.” [But] others said, “How can a sinful man do such signs?” And there was a division among them.
