He said to them in reply, “Give them some food yourselves.” But they said to him, “Are we to buy two hundred days’ wages worth of food and give it to them to eat?”

But the adjutant, upon whose arm the king leaned, answered the man of God, “Even if the Lord were to make windows in heaven, how could this happen?” Elisha said, “You shall see it with your own eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”

Where can I get meat to give to all this people? For they are crying to me, ‘Give us meat for our food.’

[Jesus] said to them, “There is no need for them to go away; give them some food yourselves.”

When that servant had left, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a much smaller amount. He seized him and started to choke him, demanding, ‘Pay back what you owe.’

Dismiss them so that they can go to the surrounding farms and villages and buy themselves something to eat.”

He asked them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they had found out they said, “Five loaves and two fish.”

“Two people were in debt to a certain creditor; one owed five hundred days’ wages and the other owed fifty.

He said to them, “Give them some food yourselves.” They replied, “Five loaves and two fish are all we have, unless we ourselves go and buy food for all these people.”
