In their synagogue was a man with an unclean spirit;

(He had been saying to him, “Unclean spirit, come out of the man!”)

Sitting in tombs and spending the night in caves, Eating the flesh of pigs, with broth of unclean meat in their dishes;

As he was coming forward, the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion; but Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the boy, and returned him to his father.

When he came ashore a man from the town who was possessed by demons met him. For a long time he had not worn clothes; he did not live in a house, but lived among the tombs.

Soon a woman whose daughter had an unclean spirit heard about him. She came and fell at his feet.

On another occasion he began to teach by the sea. A very large crowd gathered around him so that he got into a boat on the sea and sat down. And the whole crowd was beside the sea on land.

For they had said, “He has an unclean spirit.” Jesus and His Family.

The unclean spirit convulsed him and with a loud cry came out of him.

He told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, so that they would not crush him.

Leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat just as he was. And other boats were with him.

The man had been dwelling among the tombs, and no one could restrain him any longer, even with a chain.

When Jesus had crossed again [in the boat] to the other side, a large crowd gathered around him, and he stayed close to the sea.
