They gave him wine drugged with myrrh, but he did not take it.

they gave Jesus wine to drink mixed with gall. But when he had tasted it, he refused to drink.

Even the soldiers jeered at him. As they approached to offer him wine

for I tell you [that] from this time on I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”

Amen, I say to you, I shall not drink again the fruit of the vine until the day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”

The disciples then did as Jesus had ordered, and prepared the Passover. The Betrayer.

Insult has broken my heart, and I despair; I looked for compassion, but there was none, for comforters, but found none.
