For if the eagerness is there, it is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have;

So Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Let her keep this for the day of my burial.

After he had taken the body down, he wrapped it in a linen cloth and laid him in a rock-hewn tomb in which no one had yet been buried.

When it was already evening, since it was the day of preparation, the day before the sabbath,

Yours is princely power from the day of your birth. In holy splendor before the daystar, like dew I begot you.

In pouring this perfumed oil upon my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.
