All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:

But then how would the scriptures be fulfilled which say that it must come to pass in this way?”

At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to seize me? Day after day I sat teaching in the temple area, yet you did not arrest me.

But all this has come to pass that the writings of the prophets may be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him and fled. Jesus Before the Sanhedrin.

He set out from there and went into the district of Judea [and] across the Jordan. Again crowds gathered around him and, as was his custom, he again taught them.

They returned once more to Jerusalem. As he was walking in the temple area, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders approached him

As Jesus was teaching in the temple area he said, “How do the scribes claim that the Messiah is the son of David?

Jesus said to them in reply, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs, to seize me?

And they all left him and fled.

And every day he was teaching in the temple area. The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people, meanwhile, were seeking to put him to death,

For I tell you that this scripture must be fulfilled in me, namely, ‘He was counted among the wicked’; and indeed what is written about me is coming to fulfillment.”

And Jesus walked about in the temple area on the Portico of Solomon.

Jesus answered him, “I have spoken publicly to the world. I have always taught in a synagogue or in the temple area where all the Jews gather, and in secret I have said nothing.

On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and exclaimed, “Let anyone who thirsts come to me and drink.

Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

But early in the morning he arrived again in the temple area, and all the people started coming to him, and he sat down and taught them.
