On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, when they sacrificed the Passover lamb, his disciples said to him, “Where do you want us to go and prepare for you to eat the Passover?”

From the evening of the fourteenth day of the first month until the evening of the twenty-first day of this month you will eat unleavened bread.

You will keep it until the fourteenth day of this month, and then, with the whole community of Israel assembled, it will be slaughtered during the evening twilight.

They will consume its meat that same night, eating it roasted with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

Moses said to the people, “Remember this day on which you came out of Egypt, out of a house of slavery. For it was with a strong hand that the Lord brought you out from there. Nothing made with leaven may be eaten.

Jesus said to him in reply, “Allow it now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed him.

The Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread were to take place in two days’ time. So the chief priests and the scribes were seeking a way to arrest him by treachery and put him to death.

When they heard him they were pleased and promised to pay him money. Then he looked for an opportunity to hand him over. Preparations for the Passover.

He sent two of his disciples and said to them, “Go into the city and a man will meet you, carrying a jar of water. Follow him.

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

You may not sacrifice the Passover in any of the communities which the Lord, your God, gives you;
