They discussed this among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘Of heavenly origin,’ he will say, ‘[Then] why did you not believe him?’
They concluded among themselves, saying, “It is because we have brought no bread.”
Was John’s baptism of heavenly or of human origin? Answer me.”
But shall we say, ‘Of human origin’?”—they feared the crowd, for they all thought John really was a prophet.
John testified to him and cried out, saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘The one who is coming after me ranks ahead of me because he existed before me.’”
The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.
Now I have seen and testified that he is the Son of God.” The First Disciples.
and as he watched Jesus walk by, he said, “Behold, the Lamb of God.”
