That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him: Whatever you ask, I will give you.

greetings in marketplaces, and the salutation ‘Rabbi.’

As for you, do not be called ‘Rabbi.’ You have but one teacher, and you are all brothers.

Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him. The Lord’s Prayer.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

He replied, “What do you wish [me] to do for you?”

He threw aside his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.

Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to him in Hebrew, “Rabbouni,” which means Teacher.

The commander took him by the hand, drew him aside, and asked him privately, “What is it you have to report to me?”

Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.
