Mark 10:1

He set out from there and went into the district of Judea [and] across the Jordan. Again crowds gathered around him and, as was his custom, he again taught them.

Besides being wise, Qoheleth taught the people knowledge, and weighed, scrutinized and arranged many proverbs.

They turned their backs to me, not their faces; though I taught them persistently, they would not listen or accept correction.

At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to seize me? Day after day I sat teaching in the temple area, yet you did not arrest me.

He went around all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and curing every disease and illness among the people.

Then they came to Capernaum, and on the sabbath he entered the synagogue and taught.

The Pharisees approached and asked, “Is it lawful for a husband to divorce his wife?” They were testing him.

As Jesus was teaching in the temple area he said, “How do the scribes claim that the Messiah is the son of David?

Day after day I was with you teaching in the temple area, yet you did not arrest me; but that the scriptures may be fulfilled.”

Once again he went out along the sea. All the crowd came to him and he taught them.

And he taught them at length in parables, and in the course of his instruction he said to them,

When the sabbath came he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astonished. They said, “Where did this man get all this? What kind of wisdom has been given him? What mighty deeds are wrought by his hands!

When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.

He was amazed at their lack of faith. The Mission of the Twelve. He went around to the villages in the vicinity teaching.

He went back across the Jordan to the place where John first baptized, and there he remained.

Then after this he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.”

Jesus answered him, “I have spoken publicly to the world. I have always taught in a synagogue or in the temple area where all the Jews gather, and in secret I have said nothing.
