Luke 9:20

Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter said in reply, “The Messiah of God.”

But Jesus was silent. Then the high priest said to him, “I order you to tell us under oath before the living God whether you are the Messiah, the Son of God.”

But he was silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him and said to him, “Are you the Messiah, the son of the Blessed One?”

Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.”

She said to him, “Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who is coming into the world.”

But these are written that you may [come to] believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through this belief you may have life in his name.

“Come see a man who told me everything I have done. Could he possibly be the Messiah?”

and they said to the woman, “We no longer believe because of your word; for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is truly the savior of the world.” Return to Galilee.

Others said, “This is the Messiah.” But others said, “The Messiah will not come from Galilee, will he?

expounding and demonstrating that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead, and that “This is the Messiah, Jesus, whom I proclaim to you.”

As they traveled along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Look, there is water. What is to prevent my being baptized?” [

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is begotten by God, and everyone who loves the father loves [also] the one begotten by him.
