He answered, “Knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of God has been granted to you; but to the rest, they are made known through parables so that ‘they may look but not see, and hear but not understand.’ The Parable of the Sower Explained.

When the apostles returned, they explained to him what they had done. He took them and withdrew in private to a town called Bethsaida.

As the day was drawing to a close, the Twelve approached him and said, “Dismiss the crowd so that they can go to the surrounding villages and farms and find lodging and provisions; for we are in a deserted place here.”

and he sent them to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal [the sick].

Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of the one who sent me and to finish his work.

Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me,

and with complete assurance and without hindrance he proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ.

But how can they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach?

Thus faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.

For Christ did not please himself; but, as it is written, “The insults of those who insult you fall upon me.”

proclaim the word; be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient; convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching.

So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help.
