When the people saw the sign he had done, they said, “This is truly the Prophet, the one who is to come into the world.”

So they said to the blind man again, “What do you have to say about him, since he opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.”

When Ananias heard these words, he fell down and breathed his last, and great fear came upon all who heard of it.

It was this Moses who said to the Israelites, ‘God will raise up for you, from among your own kinsfolk, a prophet like me.’

So they glorified God because of me.

A prophet like me will the Lord, your God, raise up for you from among your own kindred; that is the one to whom you shall listen.
