When you give, give generously and not with a stingy heart; for that, the Lord, your God, will bless you in all your works and undertakings.

He also told them, “Take care what you hear. The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you, and still more will be given to you.

For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.

The generous will be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.

Whoever cares for the poor lends to the Lord, who will pay back the sum in full.

It is the Lord’s blessing that brings wealth, and no effort can substitute for it.

And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones to drink because he is a disciple—amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward.”

Give to everyone who asks of you, and from the one who takes what is yours do not demand it back.

For the judgment is merciless to one who has not shown mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment. Faith and Works.

Then all his brothers and sisters came to him, and all his former acquaintances, and they dined with him in his house. They consoled and comforted him for all the evil the Lord had brought upon him, and each one gave him a piece of money and a gold ring.

Turn back sevenfold into the bosom of our neighbors the insult with which they insulted you, Lord.

I am now eighty years old. Can I distinguish between good and evil? Can your servant taste what he eats and drinks, or still hear the voices of men and women singers? Why should your servant be any further burden to my lord the king?
