Blessed are those servants whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival. Amen, I say to you, he will gird himself, have them recline at table, and proceed to wait on them.

Therefore, beloved, since you await these things, be eager to be found without spot or blemish before him, at peace.

For who is greater: the one seated at table or the one who serves? Is it not the one seated at table? I am among you as the one who serves.

(“Behold, I am coming like a thief.” Blessed is the one who watches and keeps his clothes ready, so that he may not go naked and people see him exposed.)
