“No one who lights a lamp hides it away or places it [under a bushel basket], but on a lampstand so that those who enter might see the light.

What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.

Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in a day? If one walks during the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

I came into the world as light, so that everyone who believes in me might not remain in darkness.
