For the whole law is fulfilled in one statement, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

All bitterness, fury, anger, shouting, and reviling must be removed from you, along with all malice.

We know the one who said: “Vengeance is mine; I will repay,” and again: “The Lord will judge his people.”

However, if you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well.

Rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, insincerity, envy, and all slander;

This is the commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
