In the course of time Cain brought an offering to the Lord from the fruit of the ground,

but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry and dejected.

Yet you say, ‘If a person says to father or mother, “Any support you might have had from me is qorban”’ (meaning, dedicated to God),

I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, your spiritual worship.

Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us exercise them: if prophecy, in proportion to the faith;

and live in love, as Christ loved us and handed himself over for us as a sacrificial offering to God for a fragrant aroma.
