Now get up and go into the city and you will be told what you must do.”

And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

A psalm of David. The Lord says to my lord: “Sit at my right hand, while I make your enemies your footstool.”

Fire came forth from the Lord’s presence and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. Seeing this, all the people shouted with joy and fell prostrate.

Moses, however, said to the Lord, “If you please, my Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor now that you have spoken to your servant; but I am slow of speech and tongue.”

Then the Lord opened Balaam’s eyes, so that he saw the angel of the Lord standing on the road with sword drawn; and he knelt and bowed down to the ground.

And yet even this is too little in your sight, Lord God! For you have made a promise regarding your servant’s house reaching into the future, and giving guidance to the people, Lord God!

What more can David say to you? You know your servant, Lord God!

So I got up and went out into the plain. There it was! The glory of the Lord was standing there like the glory I had seen by the river Chebar. Then I fell on my face,

It grew even to the Prince of the host, from whom the daily sacrifice was removed, and whose sanctuary was cast down.
