John 19:35

An eyewitness has testified, and his testimony is true; he knows that he is speaking the truth, so that you also may [come to] believe.

And I am glad for you that I was not there, that you may believe. Let us go to him.”

I know that you always hear me; but because of the crowd here I have said this, that they may believe that you sent me.”

And now I have told you this before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe.

And you also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.

When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.”

But these are written that you may [come to] believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through this belief you may have life in his name.

It is this disciple who testifies to these things and has written them, and we know that his testimony is true.

We are witnesses of all that he did both in the country of the Jews and [in] Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree.

For whatever was written previously was written for our instruction, that by endurance and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.

So I exhort the presbyters among you, as a fellow presbyter and witness to the sufferings of Christ and one who has a share in the glory to be revealed.

I write these things to you so that you may know that you have eternal life, you who believe in the name of the Son of God.

Demetrius receives a good report from all, even from the truth itself. We give our testimonial as well, and you know our testimony is true.
