Do not fear, O land! delight and rejoice, for the Lord has done great things!

Do not fear, you shall not be put to shame; do not be discouraged, you shall not be disgraced. For the shame of your youth you shall forget, the reproach of your widowhood no longer remember.

Do not fear: I am with you; do not be anxious: I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.

Call to me, and I will answer you; I will tell you great things beyond the reach of your knowledge.

The wilderness and the parched land will exult; the Arabah will rejoice and bloom;

Now then, stand ready to witness the great marvel the Lord is about to accomplish before your eyes.

so again in these days I intend to favor Jerusalem and the house of Judah; do not fear!

The northerner I will remove far from you, driving them out into a dry and desolate land, Their vanguard to the eastern sea, their rearguard to the western sea, And their stench will rise, their stink will ascend, What great deeds the Lord has done!

But you must fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart, for you have seen the great things the Lord has done among you.

Ask now of the days of old, before your time, ever since God created humankind upon the earth; ask from one end of the sky to the other: Did anything so great ever happen before? Was it ever heard of?

Let the rivers clap their hands, the mountains shout with them for joy,

Some time afterward, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: Do not fear, Abram! I am your shield; I will make your reward very great.

I will betroth you to me forever: I will betroth you to me with justice and with judgment, with loyalty and with compassion;

Raise a glad cry, you heavens—the Lord has acted! Shout, you depths of the earth. Break forth, mountains, into song, forest, with all your trees. For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, shows his glory through Israel.

Yes, in joy you shall go forth, in peace you shall be brought home; Mountains and hills shall break out in song before you, all trees of the field shall clap their hands.

and justice, God, to the highest heaven. You have done great things; O God, who is your equal?

You will eat until you are fully satisfied, then you will praise the name of the Lord, your God, Who acts so wondrously on your behalf! My people will never again be put to shame.
