Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with joyful shouting, to the sound of horns, trumpets, and cymbals, and the music of harps and lyres.

A day is coming for the Lord when the spoils taken from you will be divided in your midst.

Thus says the Lord: I have returned to Zion, and I will dwell within Jerusalem; Jerusalem will be called the faithful city, and the mountain of the Lord of hosts, the holy mountain.

Make two trumpets of silver, making them of hammered silver, for you to use in summoning the community and in breaking camp.

When both are blown, the whole community shall gather round you at the entrance of the tent of meeting;

And if the bugle gives an indistinct sound, who will get ready for battle?

So then, my beloved, obedient as you have always been, not only when I am present but all the more now when I am absent, work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

For you yourselves know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief at night.

You too must be patient. Make your hearts firm, because the coming of the Lord is at hand.

The end of all things is at hand. Therefore, be serious and sober for prayers.

because the great day of their wrath has come and who can withstand it?”
