My lips shall not speak falsehood, nor my tongue utter deceit!

Is it for God that you speak falsehood? Is it for him that you utter deceit?

Although my hands are free from violence, and my prayer sincere.

If this be not so, who can make me a liar, and reduce my words to nothing?

I will state directly what is in my mind, my lips shall speak knowledge clearly;

I declare the judgment on me to be a lie; my arrow-wound is incurable, sinless though I am.”

Come, now, give me your attention; surely I will not lie to your face.

You do not know him, but I know him. And if I should say that I do not know him, I would be like you a liar. But I do know him and I keep his word.

By the truth of Christ in me, this boast of mine shall not be silenced in the regions of Achaia.
