Do not let love and fidelity forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.

Bind them on your fingers, write them on the tablet of your heart.

See, upon the palms of my hands I have engraved you; your walls are ever before me.

For as many as your cities are your gods, O Judah! As many as the streets of Jerusalem are the altars for sacrifice to Baal.

Even if you scour it with lye, and use much soap, The stain of your guilt is still before me, oracle of the Lord God.

But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days—oracle of the Lord. I will place my law within them, and write it upon their hearts; I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Cleanse your heart of evil, Jerusalem, that you may be saved. How long will you entertain wicked schemes?

I spoke to the prophets, I granted many visions, and through the prophets I told parables.

Yet they do not call to mind that I remember all their wickedness. Now their crimes surround them, present to my sight.

When Ephraim made many altars to expiate sin, they became altars for sinning.

The priest shall then take some of the blood of the purification offering on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar for burnt offerings. The rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar.

And they made their hearts as hard as diamond so as not to hear the instruction and the words that the Lord of hosts had sent by his spirit through the earlier prophets. So great anger came from the Lord of hosts:

shown to be a letter of Christ administered by us, written not in ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets that are hearts of flesh.
